There are 41 million uninsured people in the United States, including people who are part of the work force but can not afford medical coverage.

Mirrored to this disheartening statistic, there are 1,400 officially registered free clinics in the country that are only able to provide services to about 5 million people. Leaving 36 million Americans to flood emergency departments with a great number of easily manageable conditions.

CURA for the world is on a mission to launch a free clinic in every state. Our focus locations are the outskirts of major cities where access to the rural and semi-rural patient is easy.

The first CURA for the world’s free clinic just opened in Sapulpa. Project USA co-director Dr. Zach Fowler will be telling us about CURA at this Tuesday's meeting.

Please invite a prospective member to this meeting. Spread the word that The Rotary Club of Bixby has excellent programs and delicious lunches.

MSNI workday is Saturday, Oct 13

Plan now for our next service session at the Medical Supplies Network warehouse that will be held Saturday Oct 13 from 8 am until noon. We will be joined by Bixby Interact students so this will be a very productive morning.

We will inventory donated medical goods and repack them for shipment to Rotary Clubs all over the world.

Rotary clubs in other countries will then deliver the supplies to needy hospitals and clinics. This is not labor intensive work and will be a great project for spouses and family members.
